The Rural Health Care Delivery Fund Stabilization Grant FY27-29 offers financial assistance to licensed New Mexico Medicaid-enrolled providers serving Medicaid patients in eligible rural areas. The program aims to stabilize essential rural health care services experiencing operating losses due to ongoing operational challenges. Eligible projects focus on maintaining current services to prevent reductions or closures, with allowable uses including support for staffing, operational costs, and other expenses required to maintain existing services. The Rural Health Care Delivery Fund (RHCDF) Stabilization Grant provides financial support to rural New Mexico Medicaid-enrolled providers and facilities to maintain essential health care services. Funding offsets documented operating losses for existing Medicaid-reimbursable services at risk of reduction or closure, with the goal of stabilizing service delivery in rural communities. Applicants may propose stabilization projects for clinics, service lines, programs, or sites, with flexibility to request funding for one, two, or three years in FY27–FY29. $40.6 million awarded to 26 rural health care organizations as part of the Rural Health Care Delivery Fund. This is an award announcement; the application phase is closed. $20 million is available for rural health care providers to support rural delivery, as allocated by the state. Eligible applicants must be licensed New Mexico Medicaid Enrolled Providers who are actively serving Medicaid patients. This includes rural health care facilities and rural health care providers. Services must be provided in a New Mexico county with a population of 100,000 or fewer or in a rural high-needs geographic health professional shortage area (HPSA). Tribally operated health care facilities are also eligible. Certain areas of Bernalillo, Santa Fe, and Doña Ana counties are excluded. Awardees are rural health care providers selected for FY2025.
