the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) with statewide technical assistance, education, partnership development, operational support, policy advocacy, and data analytics to benefit rural, frontier, and tribal healthcare. The contract is contingent upon federal CMS RHTP funding, with an estimated annual award of $3–$6 million (subject to HCA allocation). Only a single award will be issued, subcontracting allowed, and the Center will not act as a fiscal intermediary or payment processor unless specifically authorized. The initial period of performance may begin as early as August 1, 2026. Applicants must comply with federal and state procurement requirements. CRHSI aims to strengthen the sustainability and innovation of New Mexico's rural health infrastructure under a five-year, federally funded program (RHTP).
Eligible applicants include qualified nonprofit entities, public entities, technical assistance organizations, consulting firms, or community-based organizations with statewide experience in rural health program design, implementation, evaluation, policy, or technical assistance. Applicants must demonstrate sufficient organizational capacity to meet RHTP and HCA contract requirements, furnish three references, and comply with all applicable procurement statutes.
