Workforce Retention and Sustainable Ecosystem Development Initiative (WEI/RHTP)

Summary

Funds projects supporting recruitment and retention of healthcare professionals in rural MS and creating sustainable support systems through activities such as recruitment campaigns, bonuses, residency and fellowship expansion, apprenticeships, internship development, and professional development. Total funding available: $16,800,000.

Eligibility

Same as main NOFO; see Section VI. Organizations must benefit rural Mississippi.

Requirements Checklist

• Demonstrate a plan for five-year service commitment for participants receiving direct salary/stipend support.
