Approximately $2.48 million is available over four years, with a 25% required cost share. The program aims to enhance recovery-based outreach, services, and programming for individuals with mental illness. Expands Recovery-Focused Clubhouse programs in Texas, supporting evidence-based peer environments for adults with mental health challenges. Funds operations, expansion, and sustainability in specified regions and counties, with strong emphasis on fidelity to Clubhouse International standards. Supports expansion of Clubhouse programs for adults living with mental health challenges in specified Texas regions. Funded organizations must operate programs according to Clubhouse International standards, providing recovery-focused, peer-based services, employment, education, and housing supports.
Eligible applicants are rural hospitals, rural hospital districts, and rural hospital authorities located in Texas, as defined in the RFA. Eligible applicants are entities legally authorized to conduct business in Texas, located in Public Health Region 2 or 4, and able to operate a Clubhouse Program for adults with mental illness. Applicants must submit a complete and timely application via the Grants Management System External Portal. See Section III of the RFA for full requirements. Applicants must be located in Public Health Region 2 or 4, eligible to conduct business in Texas, operate in accordance with Clubhouse International standards, have a minimum three years’ operational history or be accredited, and submit completed applications by the deadline. Applicants must be located in Texas Public Health Regions 2 or 4 and authorized to conduct business in Texas. Entities may include local governments, non-profits, community centers, and other eligible organizations meeting Clubhouse fidelity standards.
