The Texas Maternal Health Outcomes Program (HHS0016838) provides up to $5,000,000 to advance systems, data, partnerships, and coordination to improve maternal health outcomes across Texas. The RFA targets reducing severe obstetric complications, especially in rural and high-need areas. Funds support quality improvement, systems changes, and capacity-building; direct clinical care is not funded.
Eligible applicants are governmental entities (health departments, hospital districts, university medical centers, or other state or local agencies), Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), and nonprofit entities with 501(c)(3) status. Projects must have statewide or rural focus. For-profit entities are not eligible.
