State grant opportunity (RFA No. HHS0015874) from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Access Services. Supports resource specialist, senior services, and direct communication services; $6,800,000 total available for a three-year period. Services include case management, outreach, advocacy, self-advocacy training, and direct communication services for individuals who are deaf, deafblind, or hard of hearing.
Eligible applicants are organizations, not individuals, able to operate programs that benefit individuals seeking services from DHHS, specifically those who are deaf, deafblind, or hard of hearing for the Resource Specialist program, and individuals who are deaf/hard of hearing aged 60 or older for the Senior Citizens program. Applicants must not be suspended or debarred, ineligible under Texas statute, or delinquent in tax/debt payments to the State of Texas.
