The RHIT RFP will provide $26.9 million in Budget Period 1 to fund innovation and technology solutions that improve rural health outcomes and access to care in Nevada. Funding will prioritize projects enabling rural participation in CMS Aligned Networks and the CMS Health Technology Ecosystem. Eligible vendors must be registered with the State of Nevada, and projects must address technology modernization, consumer-facing tools, and analytics in rural sites. The Nevada Health Authority seeks provider- and Tribal-led projects for the Rural Health Innovation and Technology (RHIT) Initiative under the RHTP. Approximately $27 million is available in BP1 FY2026 to support practical, real-world health IT and digital care solutions for rural, frontier, and Tribal healthcare providers. Projects should enhance foundational health IT infrastructure, provider-facing digital health capabilities, or consumer-facing digital tools. The RHIT initiative emphasizes interoperability, operational efficiency, privacy, and sustainability, and encourages projects that match actual provider needs and capacity.

Applicants must retain project leadership, governance, compliance, and sustainability responsibility. Counties, local government agencies, academic institutions, community-based organizations, school-based health programs, and technology vendors may participate only as partners or subgrantees and not as prime applicants, unless they directly deliver healthcare services.
