Provides grants to establish or expand SNAP Employment & Training (E&T) Third-Party Partners focused on developing health care career pathways in rural, frontier, tribal, and other high-need Nebraska communities. Funding supports organizational capacity building to prepare for ongoing operation using the SNAP E&T 50/50 reimbursement model. Applicants must serve eligible Nebraska communities and demonstrate plans for sustainability, employer engagement, and compliance with SNAP E&T regulations.
Eligible applicants: Local governments, Indian tribes, institutions of higher education, nonprofit entities, and for-profit entities. Individuals are not eligible. Consortium applications are permitted. Applicants must serve or plan to serve SNAP-eligible individuals in rural, frontier, tribal, or high-need communities in Nebraska. Must demonstrate capacity to focus exclusively on health care career pathways and must offer at least one USDA-approved SNAP E&T component.
