The program, funded 100% by CMS/HHS, supports activities that improve access, quality, and the rural health workforce, and hospitals must address at least two of five designated strategic RHTP initiatives. Approximately 70% of the award is distributed to rural hospitals; other eligible providers include Tribal Nations, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs), and Community Mental Health Centers (CMHCs).
Eligible applicants are rural hospitals located in Minnesota.
