Graduate Medical Education (GME) Expansion for Rural Idaho – FFY26

Summary

The program targets new and established rural residency tracks in obstetrics/gynecology, behavioral health, and geriatrics. GME Expansion is part of statewide investments in workforce and maternal health under RHTP. Award ceiling: $8,000,000 for FFY26. Anticipated agreement is a single subgrant. Eligibility

Medical schools, hospital systems, and academic health centers capable of leading GME expansion including new residency tracks in rural areas.

Requirements Checklist

• Applicants must be capable of leading GME program expansion in rural locations, including oversight of new or existing rural residency tracks in OB/Gyn, behavioral health, or geriatrics. Must provide monthly financial status reports and participate in oversight processes as required.
