Florida has been awarded $210 million through the CMS RHTP for FY2026-FY2030. The award aims to bolster rural health care in Florida by expanding workforce development, clinical training and rural rotations; providing start-up funding for rural and satellite clinics; and investing in mobile health units, telehealth, behavioral health telehubs, remote monitoring, and advanced telespecialty services. Over 1.2 million rural Floridians will benefit from improved access to essential health services. The Agency for Health Care Administration administers the award and is implementing a comprehensive transformation plan focused on workforce, innovation, and access.
Eligible applicant: State Government. Only the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration, acting as the designated state entity, was eligible to apply and receive this award.
