Eligibility

Eligible applicants include rural hospitals, federally qualified health centers, rural health clinics, public and nonprofit rural primary care facilities, and other health providers located in rural or health professional shortage areas in Alabama, as defined in Section III, Eligibility Information, of the NOFO.

Requirements Checklist

• Applicants must submit a complete application using the ARHTP portal by the stated deadline (06/26/2026, 5:00 PM CT), provide proposed budgets, statements of need, project narratives outlining alignment with Rural Health Initiative goals, and documentation of rural provider or facility status. Successful applicants are required to participate in quarterly and final reporting per program guidelines.
