Mississippi MSDH invites eligible rural and underserved providers to apply for funding through the Telehealth HUD Connectivity, Equipment & Education (TCE) Grant Program. TCE is part of Mississippi's Rural Health Transformation Plan and funded under the federal RHTP cooperative agreement. Awards support telehealth hub expansion, connectivity infrastructure, equipment procurement, and education to reduce barriers and expand access to specialty and preventive care across rural Mississippi. Eligible providers include hospitals, physician practices, RHCs, FQHCs, local health departments, tribal healthcare, CCBHCs, SUD facilities, dental services, and licensed long-term care facilities serving rural areas.
Eligible applicants are Mississippi-based hospitals, physician practices (including solo practitioners), rural health clinics (RHCs), federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), local health departments, Native American Sovereign Tribe healthcare facilities, certified community behavioral health clinics (CCBHCs), substance use disorder (SUD) facilities, dental care services, and licensed long-term care facilities located in rural areas or servicing rural populations. Mississippi defines 'rural' as counties with fewer than 50,000 residents, fewer than 500 people per square mile, or municipalities with populations under 15,000. Organizations do not need to be physically located in a rural area to be eligible, but must demonstrate how the proposed activities will provide meaningful benefit to rural communities and rural residents in Mississippi.
